During the Soviet occupation, double entendre communication through the arts became a serious means of real communication in a world where propaganda was the norm...in school, on TV, in the newspaper...the truth was manipulated everywhere. But the human spirit, the drive for independence, just couldn't be crushed. And many artists rose to the occasion.
